Bread, Family, and Community Connections
For our franchisee Sydney, opening a second COBS Bread bakery in Regina East is more than just expansion, but about building a family business! Partnering with her brother, she’s excited to create something meaningful while embracing new challenges and opportunities.
Already having opened her first successful bakery in Grasslands, Sydney knew her next step was to bring her brother into the business. Both care deeply about the community they are apart of, and have a real passion for working with local schools and community groups. Supporting their community and forming local connections is central in their work, and they hope this shines through to East End shoppers. Sydney plans to get to know the local community members to learn what charities matter most to them to ensure her Donation Days can really make an impact.
While Sydney brings plenty of experience to her new bakery, learning about new equipment like the retarder and Rotel 3 Oven is something that she really looks forward to. Her love for learning and growth, combined with her ability to hire a stellar team has contributed to her continued success so far.
For Sydney, hiring people who share her passion for learning and growing is a must. By partnering experienced team members with new hires, she can ensure that everyone has the confidence, skills and knowledge to succeed.
